Massachusetts Restaurants United (MRU) is a coalition of passionate restaurant professionals representing cherished local date-night spots, cozy cafes, bustling lunch destinations, and everything in between across Massachusetts. Formed in response to the challenges of COVID-19, MRU united over 800 independent restaurant owners and operators to fight for survival and continue serving their loyal guests.

As the pandemic recedes, MRU remains a vital force, working to educate, uplift, and advocate for a thriving and equitable future for locally owned Massachusetts restaurants. Their recent successes include securing changes in state law to allow the sale of mixed drinks, imposing unprecedented caps on food delivery fees, and establishing the Distressed Restaurant Fund along with other grant programs to support the industry.
